Ancona’s Cardeto Park is a large public space that spreads over a 35 hectares area. An old disused lighthouse that dates from 1860 has been restored and stands on Cappuccini Hill. Many old paths have been reopened and there are plans to transform the Campo degli Ebrei area into a museum. Also planned is an exhibition and sports hall on the former munitions depot sited here as well as the restoration of the Cardeto fortification, and the Cappuccini Monastery.
